Every year on 28 December, Namibia’s dance-music community comes together at the coast for the ultimate end-of-year celebration. Set beside the tidal pools and iconic jetty at Long Beach, Sound of Summer transforms the beachfront into a full-scale festival experience filled with music, movement, sunshine and thousands of people celebrating as one.
This year, Shimza takes control of the Savanna Main Stage, bringing his internationally acclaimed sound and unmistakable energy to one of Namibia’s most anticipated festival moments. He will be joined by an exceptional lineup featuring Timo ODV, Kurt April, Celso Fabbri, Fafa Bruwer, and a powerful selection of Namibia’s most exciting local DJs.
Across the festival, three distinct stages create three different experiences:
The Savanna Main Stage delivers the major artists, headline performances and biggest festival moments.
The Coca-Cola Coke Studio Stage brings its own vibrant atmosphere, packed with energetic performances and sounds designed to keep the crowd moving throughout the day.
The Jetty Stage is the home of the underground,a more intimate space for deeper sounds, alternative selections and serious dance-music lovers.
Sound of Summer is more than a party. It is a celebration of Namibian music culture, creativity and connection. Dance music brings people together, and this festival is built for everyone, from dedicated electronic-music followers to friends simply looking for the perfect way to celebrate the end of the year.
The festival starts at 12:00 midday and runs until midnight, giving you twelve hours of uninterrupted music beside the Atlantic Ocean. Expect a wide range of food vendors, expanded bars designed for faster service, and dedicated festival buses travelling from Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, making it easier and safer to get to and from the event.
Come early. Dress for the beach. Bring your people. Prepare to dance.
